When writing about you ancillary texts here are some things to consider:-

  1. The brief (what you need to do)
  2. The research
  3. The news programmes we/ you looked at
    - What you found out about the conventions of these
    - How this informed your planning
  4. The radio
    - Who you worked with
    - How you wrote your script
    - Recording your script
    - Evaluate the final product
  5. The opening sequence (Flash)
    - Storyboarding/ planning
    - The process of flash
    - Evaluation of the overall product
  6. Conclusion
    - What you learnt in the process
    - How this will inform your main production work

An extract/package from a local TV news programme, lasting approximately five minutes, together with two of the following three options:
• two hyperlinked pages from the programme’s website;
• a generic radio trailer for the programme;
• a short title sequence for the programme.
